Great appreciation by the public for the opening of
“LA FORMAGGERIA GRAN MORAVIA”
in Wenceslas Square in Prague, the tenth point of sale of the retail chain
An area of 200 square metres. Ten staff members, over 800 receipts registered on the first day alone. This is what happened in Prague, Czech Republic, where we opened the tenth and so far the largest store in the chain of our “La Formaggeria Gran Moravia” flagship stores in the central Wenceslas Square.
From the moment we opened the doors to the brand new area covering two hundred square meters, designed by Domenico Rocca, an architect from Reggio Emilia, we were overwhelmed by a large and heterogeneous crowd who were eager to try and buy the many Made in Italy specialities, where such a variety had been almost impossible to find in the Czech capital up until now.
By the end of the first day, there were well over eight hundred receipts in the till, the result of a turnout that gave no respite to the ten sales staff at “La Formaggeria Gran Moravia” for the whole 8 hours it was open. The formula of the stores is as simple as it is demanding: to offer high-quality products, at reasonable prices and accessible to all, from its own Gran Moravia dairy farm in Livotel (Czech Republic), and those in Italy. The direct contact with no middle men between the dairy and the stores makes it possible to contain costs and thereby provide special products at prices that are just as special. The latest novelty is the range of dairy products “Fresh from our dairy,” a family of freshly made products which are delivered every day directly from the Moravia Dairy to the special fridge cabinets built by Pettinà di Carré, in the province of Vicenza. Ricotta, mozzarella cheese, curds, butter, milk, yoghurt, flavoured whey, represent a unique range for the Czech Republic.
But the true sales “leaders” are the Gran Moravia cheese and fresh butter, both cut and packaged using plain film and not industrially packed. If the consumption of butter is common in Central European countries, something that has been very interesting and highly satisfying is the vast appreciation by all the customers for our Gran Moravia, a smooth and rich cheese, the quality of which has proven to be the perfect match for everyday cooking of the Czechs, who also appreciate the environmental sustainability and supply chain transparency adopted by Brazzale. To complete the range there is a vast selection of Italian cheeses, Italian cold cuts, and a wide selection of Italian cooking ingredients, selected by Brazzale to ensure quality and price.
At the “La Formaggeria Gran Moravia” customers can stock up on everything they need to prepare a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes. There are also some striking illustrated books on offer at promotional prices, that tell the history of Italy and its gastronomic specialities, suggesting recipes accessible to everyone.
Next April, we will be opening the eleventh store in the Vinohradska district, it too in the Czech Republic, and within a year we have planned another three openings: the third store in Brno, the fourth in Prague and the first in Pilsen.
